Arborist Sydney — certified arborists, tree reports & expert tree care
Qualified arborist advice you can actually build on.
True Roots are AQF Level 5 qualified, fully insured Sydney arborists. We assess tree health and risk, write clear reports for council and development applications, and carry out the pruning, removal and treatment work ourselves — so the advice and the job come from one accountable team.
A good arborist saves you money and protects your property. We tell you honestly whether a tree can be kept, what work it needs, and what the council will and won’t allow — backed by recognised qualifications and proper diagnostics, not guesswork.
From a single problem tree in the backyard to tree protection plans for a build, strata canopy management or an independent second opinion, we give you written, defensible advice and then do the work to a professional standard.
Assessment, reports and expert tree care.

One team, report to result
The arborist who assesses your tree works with the crew who do the job — no disconnect between advice and delivery.
Good to know.
What does an arborist actually do?
A qualified arborist assesses the health, structure and safety of trees, diagnoses problems, and recommends the right care — pruning, treatment, removal or retention. We also write reports for council and carry out the physical tree work to Australian Standards.
How much does an arborist report cost in Sydney?
It depends on the number of trees, the report type (removal application, development/DA, or dispute) and the site. We give you a clear fixed price up front after a quick look or a few photos — no surprises.
Do I need an arborist report to remove a tree?
Often yes. Most Sydney councils require an AQF Level 5 arborist report to support a tree removal or pruning application unless the tree is an exempt species or within an exempt distance. We’ll tell you whether you need one before you spend money.
Are your arborists qualified and insured?
Yes — AQF Level 5 qualified arborists, $20M public liability and workers compensation. Our reports are recognised by Sydney councils and our field work meets AS 4373 (pruning) and AS 4970 (tree protection).
