If a tree has just come down
- Keep everyone clear. A split trunk or a hung-up limb can drop again without warning. Keep people, pets and cars out from under it, and don’t try to cut it yourself.
- Treat every fallen wire as live. Stay at least 8 metres away, about two car lengths, and call your network: Ausgrid 13 13 88 or Endeavour Energy 131 003. If anyone is hurt, call 000.
- Photograph it before anything moves. The tree, the damage and the surroundings. Your insurer will ask for these, and so will we.
- Then call us on 0422 023 242. It goes to a person 24/7. An AQF Level 5 arborist triages the job over the phone, and the crew makes the site safe before anything else.

24 hour emergency tree services across Sydney
Storms, wind and a wet winter bring big limbs and whole trees down across Sydney. When that happens you need an arborist crew with the gear to make it safe, not a quote next week. Our emergency line is answered day and night, and dangerous trees go to the front of the queue. If a tree is threatening a house or blocking access we can start the next day if need be.
What counts as a tree emergency
- A tree or large limb on a house, car, shed or fence
- A fallen tree blocking a driveway, road or the only way in or out
- A split trunk, or a broken limb hung up in the canopy over a path, yard or roof
- A tree leaning after a storm with the soil lifting or cracking at the base
- Anything touching powerlines. Keep well clear, at least 8 metres (about two car lengths), and call your electricity network first: Ausgrid 13 13 88 or Endeavour Energy 131 003. Once the line is safe, we remove the tree.
Council rules when a tree is dangerous
Every council treats dangerous trees differently, so we check before we cut and tell you what paperwork is needed.
- Georges River: imminently dangerous trees can be dealt with first and reported within 72 hours, with an AQF Level 5 arborist confirmation, which we provide.
- Sutherland Shire: Council needs evidence the tree is immediately dangerous, such as a council officer inspection, an arborist report, or photos with statutory declarations.
- Inner West: trees in imminent danger of failing need AQF Level 5 evidence, and Council then fast-tracks the consent.
- City of Sydney and Ku-ring-gai: dead and dangerous trees still need approval, so talk to us before anything is cut.

Should I call the SES or an arborist?
For storm damage to your home, the NSW SES (132 500) can make the building safe, for example by tarping a damaged roof. They do not remove and clear trees. For cutting, removal and clean-up of a fallen or dangerous tree, call an arborist. Many people call both.
Can you remove a storm-damaged tree at night?
We answer 24/7 and make the site safe straight away. Where it is safer to wait for daylight, we secure the tree, clear the immediate hazard and access, then come back for the full removal and clean-up.
What if the tree is on powerlines?
Stay at least 8 metres away (about two car lengths) and call your electricity network first: Ausgrid 13 13 88 or Endeavour Energy 131 003. Only the network can make the line safe. Once they have, our crew removes the tree and cleans up.
Do I need council approval to remove a dangerous tree?
It depends on your council. Some let an imminently dangerous tree be dealt with first and reported after; others still need approval or evidence first. We check your council rules before we cut and provide the arborist confirmation where it is needed.
