Commercial tree removal Sydney
Tree work that keeps your site safe and on program.
True Roots does commercial tree removal, site clearing and programmed tree care for builders, developers, property and facilities managers, strata committees, schools and councils across Sydney. Our own AQF Level 5 arborists, our own excavator, loader, chipper and tip trucks, and the paperwork your safety and procurement teams need — sent with the quote, not chased afterwards.
Commercial work is judged on reliability and compliance as much as on the cutting. We turn up when we said, work around your program and your tenants, protect what has to stay, and close the job out with documentation and a proper invoice.
Recent commercial work
Our own crew and machinery, on live sites.
Tree Protection Zones to AS 4970 — fencing, signage and ground protection set out and monitored so retained trees satisfy the consent condition.Root protection during construction — exposed roots wrapped, kept damp and supervised while excavation continues alongside.Industrial site clearing — loader, chipper and tip trucks on site together so the block is cleared and carted in one mobilisation.
What we do
Commercial tree services across Sydney.
Site clearing for construction
Tree removal and vegetation clearing for builds, subdivisions and development sites, coordinated with your program and your permits. Own excavator, loader, chipper and tip trucks, so the block is cleared and carted in one mobilisation. See land clearing.
Tree protection and Project Arborist
TPZ and SRZ set out to AS 4970, protective fencing and ground protection installed, works inside the zone supervised, and the final certification at completion. Our AQF Level 5 arborist can hold the Project Arborist role named in your consent. See tree protection zones.
Property and facilities tree care
Removal, pruning and hazard reduction for commercial properties, car parks, schools, retail and industrial sites, scheduled around trading hours and tenants.
Hazard and risk management
Arborist assessments and documented risk management so a duty holder has evidence rather than opinion behind the decision. See arborist reports.
Emergency and storm response
24/7 response to fallen and dangerous trees affecting access, safety or operations, including make-safe works and reports for the insurer. See emergency tree removal.
Programmed maintenance
Scheduled inspections and pruning cycles for portfolios and strata schemes, with one contact, one program and one invoice. See strata tree management.
Vegetation management contracts
Roadside, asset-protection and powerline vegetation work for councils, utilities and facilities managers on programmed contracts. See vegetation management.
Root management instead of removal
Where roots threaten paving, footings or services, root investigation and engineered root barriers often keep the tree and satisfy council. See root barriers.
What it costs
Priced on crew-days, with the working shown.
Commercial jobs are quoted on estimated crew-days, not guesswork. Each quote is built from the crew size, the plant on site and the number of days. The quote states the number of days, so your PM or QS can check it against the program instead of taking a lump sum on faith.
Where an AQF Level 5 arborist report, an Arboricultural Impact Assessment or TPZ certification is required, it is quoted as its own line — usually $1,500–$2,000 ex GST — never buried inside the tree work. Traffic management, after-hours access and out-of-hours premiums are itemised separately, so nothing turns up later as a variation.
Compliance and documentation
Powerline and utility vegetation crews.
True Roots holds an Asplundh contract for powerline vegetation management in regional NSW. Our crews are authorised for the Essential Energy, Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy networks, and hold ESI Certificate II and current first aid. If your site has conductors overhead — service lines, street mains or rural feeders — we plan the job to the network rules and supply the paperwork to match.
The paperwork your site and procurement need.
$20M public liability
Certificate of currency supplied with the quote, not after you ask for it.
icare workers compensation
Current certificate of currency supplied for every crew that attends site.
Site-specific SWMS
Safe Work Method Statements written for the actual job and supplied before we mobilise.
ISO 9001 certified
Audited quality management system, which is increasingly a prerequisite on tender panels.
Inductions and traffic management
Site inductions completed and traffic management arranged where the works need it.
Indigenous-owned business
True Roots is an Indigenous-owned business, which can count toward Indigenous procurement targets on government and tier-one contracts.

SWMS, insurances, inductions and traffic management organised and supplied before we mobilise.

Qualified crews complete the job safely and to your program, protecting the site, the people and anything being retained.

Common questions
What builders and managers ask first.
How much does commercial tree removal cost in Sydney?
It is priced on crew-days: the quote states the crew, the plant and the number of days, so it can be checked against the program. The quote states the number of days so it can be checked against your program. Arborist reports and TPZ certification are quoted as separate lines, usually $1,500–$2,000 ex GST. Traffic management and after-hours work are itemised, not hidden.
Can you clear a site before construction starts?
Yes. We clear blocks and industrial sites with our own excavator, tracked loader, chipper and tip trucks, so vegetation is felled, chipped and carted in one mobilisation rather than three. Where trees are being retained we set out the Tree Protection Zones to AS 4970 first and supervise any works inside them.
Can you act as the Project Arborist named in our consent?
Yes. Our AQF Level 5 consulting arborist holds the qualification councils specify for the Project Arborist role under a DA consent, and can prepare the Arboricultural Impact Assessment, set out and monitor the Tree Protection Zones through construction, and provide the final certification at completion.
Are you insured, and can you provide SWMS?
Yes. $20M public liability and icare workers compensation, with certificates of currency supplied alongside the quote, and site-specific Safe Work Method Statements provided before we mobilise. Inductions and traffic management are arranged where the works need them.
Can you work to our construction program?
Yes. We coordinate timing with your build or your operations, manage access and safety, and keep the job moving so we are not the trade holding up the program.
Can you work after hours or outside trading hours?
Yes. Retail, school and tenanted sites are often best done outside operating hours. After-hours and out-of-hours work is quoted as its own line so you can see exactly what the timing costs.
Do you invoice on account?
Yes. Clear written quotes and proper invoicing suited to commercial and trade clients, with the documentation attached to close the job out.
Do you handle traffic management and road permits?
Yes, where the works require it. Traffic control and any road or footpath permits are arranged and quoted as their own line rather than absorbed into the tree work.
Can you set up an ongoing tree maintenance program?
Yes. For portfolios, strata schemes and facilities we set up scheduled inspections and pruning cycles, so hazards are found on a program rather than after a failure.
