Tree removal and arborists across the St George area
St George is our patch. The depot is in Mortdale, the crew lives between Hurstville and the river, and a good share of our jobs are inside a ten-minute drive: Hurstville, Kogarah, Blakehurst, Connells Point, Kyle Bay, Carlton, Allawah, Beverly Hills, Riverwood, Sans Souci. That makes us cheap to get to your place and quick when something has come down.
The district splits across two councils with different rules. Georges River Council (Hurstville, Mortdale, Oatley, Penshurst, Peakhurst, Lugarno, Blakehurst, Connells Point, Kogarah Bay) protects any tree 3 m or taller, or with a 100 mm trunk at ground level, or with a 3 m branch spread. Bayside Council (Kogarah, Carlton, Sans Souci, Ramsgate, Bexley, Rockdale) has its own thresholds and forms. We know both, we lodge with both, and our AQF Level 5 reports are written to the requirements of each council.
The work itself ranges from a Cocos palm in a Carlton courtyard to a Turpentine over a house in Connells Point to a gum tangled in Ausgrid lines in Blakehurst. Same crew, same fixed-price quote, same clean-up.
Georges River and Bayside council rules
Georges River Council (Hurstville side): protected from 3 m tall, 100 mm trunk or 3 m spread; deadwooding and hedges exempt; dead trees still need approval; imminently dangerous trees can go first with an AQF Level 5 arborist confirming and the exempt works form within 72 hours; fines from $1,500. Exempt species include Camphor Laurel under 6 m and Cocos Palm.
Bayside Council (Kogarah, Rockdale side): its own tree application and exempt list. We check your address first so you do not lodge with the wrong council — it happens more than you would think along the Kogarah/Carlton boundary.
The district: Sandy, flat blocks near the bay with palms and Norfolk pines; clay and sandstone on the ridge with Jacarandas, Camphor Laurels and Brush Box; steep river frontages at Blakehurst and Connells Point with Angophoras and Turpentines. Access varies just as much, which is why every job is priced after a look.

Roughly: Hurstville, Mortdale, Penshurst, Oatley, Peakhurst, Lugarno, Blakehurst, Connells Point and Kogarah Bay are Georges River; Kogarah, Carlton, Allawah, Bexley, Rockdale, Sans Souci and Ramsgate are Bayside. Send us the address and we confirm it before anything is lodged.
Ausgrid sent me a notice about a tree near the lines. Is that yours or theirs?
If the tree is on your property and the lines are the service line to your house, it is your job and we do it. If it is the street mains, Ausgrid’s contractor usually handles it. We read the notice and tell you which.
Do you work on strata and unit blocks?
Yes. Common-property trees, car-park overhangs, boundary rows — with SWMS, certificates of currency and a written scope for the committee.
